great mouse, rugged, sweat resistant, office or gaming, you name this mouse delivers. DPI stable and reliable. solid solid solid.
UPDATE 07/23/2021:This review was originally a 2 star review due to the price. As I said in the last paragraph of this review I am changing the rating to 4 stars because they listened and lowered the price of this mouse to a much more appropriate price! This isn't something I see happen very often so kudos to this company for listening to it's customers. I am very happy to now make this a 4 star review!ORIGINAL REVIEW:If you don't want to read this entire review PLEASE skip to the last paragraph for important information.I want to start right at the start this is my first experience with a vertical mouse. I didn't want to blow the close to $100 for the Logitech vertical mouse until I knew I would like this style of mouse. So I wanted to find one that has a similar ergonomic layout at the Logitech MX vertical. This one looks pretty close! If you are like me and this will be your first vertical mouse then you are going to need to give it some time before you decide if this style will work for you. I've been using it non stop for several house before writing this review so keep in mind this is the time frame I have used it for this review. As far as comfort goes I am incredibly impressed. I now see why people that use these kinds of mice rave about how comfortable they are to use. With my regular mouse, the Logitech MX 3 I will start getting some wrist strain after a couple house. 3 hours of non stop use with this Mojo vertical mouse and I have absolutely zero discomfort anywhere in my wrist, hand or fingers.Using this mouse is going to take some getting used to. Movement is very different than a standard mouse. You tend to move around with this mouse with your entire arm vs just your hand amp; wrist with a standard mouse. At least that's how it has been for me in particular. It's tricky to control at this point in my experience with the mouse. The mouse is so comfortable to use though that I am going to give it at least several weeks and see if I can get the same movement accuracy that I can with standard mice. There is an additional base piece that is removable. I decided to put it on as it just made it easier to use the mouse by having the side of my palm right on it.The mouse is very VERY lightweight. Too light in my opinion. Would have been great if they could have added just a bit of weight options in the base so you could add or remove as needed, a feature I have seen in many gaming mice. The buttons on the mouse are pretty much silent which is a positive. However in making these buttons so silent I believe they have sacrificed the tactile feedback of the buttons. They are just a bit overly mushy and I don't care too much for how they feel when pressing. The scroll wheel has a nice rubber center not unlike the Logitech MS series of mice. The top analog joystick is an interesting feature. Right out of the box the 4 directions are assigned to the usual WSAD keys gamers are all too familiar with. These joystick directions can be reassigned in the software.Speaking of software tey actually have a pretty powerful app. You can control all the usual things like DPI, pointer speed, RGB colors and button assignments. However they also provide a keystroke macro recorder in the software as well. Simply click the START RECORDING button and type in whatever series of keyboard buttons you want. Save the macro then you can assign that macro to any button on the mouse. You can also setup 2 different profiles for the mouse so you could have all the buttons assigned for your gaming needs then have the second profile be for your normal system use. What are some of the drawbacks with this mouse? Like I mentioned the buttons do not have a great tactile feedback. The scroll wheel pushes in too easily so you will often find that when you are scrolling with the wheel you will accidently press it in then the mouse goes into that mode where you move the entire mouse to scroll. Very annoying. Another big problem is the the skids/pads on the bottom of the mouse are not very smooth/slick. So the mouse doesn't easily glide around your mouse pad. Here is the major problem with this mouse that I have right now and the reason for the lower rating. At the time of this review the price is $49.99. I have found the identical mouse on Amazon from Zelotes priced at $29.99! Why is this mouse from Mojo, again physically identical except for the Mojo name printed on the side and bottom of the mouse, $20 more expensive?? At this current price I simply cannot recommend this mouse. If and when this mouse is re-priced I will upgrade my rating of this mouse.
Mouse is comfy and works well but software is terrible. The keybind feature does not allow you to bind to actual keys! It only keybinds actions like multimedia stop, play, skip or office actions cut, paste, copy etc... Their website directs you to download a 3rd party app that doesnt allow for more than 5 keys. So the joycon is forever wasd and the dpi can only be disabled. Not for gaming, office or casual use only. For the price just get a cheaper, wireless verticle mouse for less.
Yes, I’m old. Or, at least, my body certainly makes me feel that way, considering how much mouse related discomfort I experience. Wrist, forearm, and shoulder are my pain points, and I have suspected for a while that a mouse of a different orientation would help. Well, it turns out, a mouse of a different orientation does help…a lot.Between work and hobbies, my hand is attached to a mouse for easily eight hours on any given day. A mouse of standard design was a neat solution to an original computing need, but not much thought was put into it’s fusion with human biomechanics. Based on my own experience, it is apparent that everything in any way attached to our spine ultimately suffers from repeatedly clicking buttons on and shifting a device with our hands in the palm down position. Really, it seems that our bodies have not caught up with doing much in the palm down position for any prolonged period of time. But if you’re here checking out this device, you probably already know this. So, know that, if your body works similar to my own, you’re right. You need a vertical mouse.Within a day of using this – really within the first few minutes – I could tell that this was going to reduce some of the aches that run from my neck to my fingers. And it has done just that. For me, it did take a little while to get used to using something I’ve been operating on a daily basis since childhood flipped on its side, but the adaptation curve was worth it. Its been about two weeks, and now it feels just as normal to me (with less discomfort) as my old mouse. I will admit that I did have to force myself to keep using it when it still felt weird on days two, three, and four-ish. But eventually the weirdness goes away. The mouse itself is quality. It has a super durable and lengthy cord that provides zero latency responsiveness.I like a hair trigger on my mouse for almost all applications, but this general preference is simply not suitable for every application, so being able to adjust the DPI on mouse, on the fly is an absolute must for me. This mouse provides that in spades, and with an easy to discern indicator right on top of the device, as opposed to having to interpret the color coordinated code of each sensitivity level – which was one of my least favorite things about my old mouse. The mouse comes with a detachable tail, that I’ve opted to use. It is rubbery and ribbed and elongates the base of the overall device. I find that it adds stability, enhances control, and requires less effort from the shoulder to move the mouse around. Instead of having to slightly lift my hand to push or pull the mouse, I find the tail makes operation more conducive to dragging, which is easier on my body. The buttons really are virtually silent. I say virtually silent because, come on, silent? They are super duper quiet, which is nice, both for myself and others in the vicinity. That reduced noise level does come with a different feel, which is a little more spongey than the crisp mechanical click I was accustomed to, but, now that I’m used to it, I think I prefer this feature as well.I haven’t done much with the customization software, because necessity has not yet dictated that I do. The mouse does everything that I want/need it to right out of the box, so it was a true plug and play for me, which is nice. All in all, I think it is a great mouse that has provided immediate relief to my aging bag of bones and functions like a champ. I have no problem at all highly recommending this mouse to anyone who has been considering making the vertical leap.
